As the Holidays are approaching its easy to get all caught up in the shopping and money spending that comes with it. The deals and steals of the season, getting that little extra something for your loved ones just to make it special.

Checking off the gift list one at a time; toys, shoes, games, clothes, candles, socks, stocking stuffers, the list goes on and on.  Can’t forget the in-Laws and the cousins that are coming in for the first time in 5 years…I am overwhelmed just thinking about it.

In the craziness that is December, don’t forget to take care of you. Not in the sense of “treat yo self” – which you should also do- but in taking the time to destress and enjoy the time. Take care of your mental health, your physical health. Take time to rejuvenate and re-evaluate.

It is so easy to get so caught up in the bustle of the season we forget to embrace the blessing that become so apparent in the white, blank, snow. We need to slow down and be grateful for the beauty all around us, friends, family, joy and good vibes that are radiating.

There is something so magical in the stillness of the frozen air. The dancing lights in the windows and the snowmen staring back at you on your way to work. Spending time watching movies, under cozy blankets with hot coco- you can feel the love coming from the warmth of the fire.

Taking time for a quick daily practice to set your intention in the morning or a calming meditation before heading to bed to reflect on the day will be the best gift that you can give you. Don’t miss out on the magic, pause and take in the day.

If you need a little direction head over to the studio and check out our new workshops and schedule!

Come join us this month for our Yoga Basics Workshop!

Maybe you are a seasoned yogi and the Yin and Perfectio anti aging workshop is for you…

HOLISTIC APPROACH TO NUTRITION AND MOVEMENT

One of the best ways to prepare your body for stretching and exercise is through nutrition.  Good nutrition compliments any exercise program by providing the fuel it needs to perform the movements.  When we make better choices with food, we honor our body in its truest form. Many yoga practitioners end up changing their diet
